8 am tomorrow is my first day of class.
I am in the apartment of an incredible davidson alumna who opened her home to us. We just came back from dinner and the corner store, where I bought flat peaches (amazing !!! ) and yogurt. After growing up in a suburb and driving pretty much everywhere, there something really magical about being able to walk down the street and buy food and snacks.
There is also something calming about looking out at the city lights from the terrace and repeating the phrase “it’s all going to be okay.”
Today was stressful but mainly now I am feeling exhausted and super grateful to be here. I think having classes will help me to start building a routine and a life here.
